West Islip Agenda: Clam Shucking Contest, Art Show on the Lawn

Start off the week by finding out what's happening in and around West Islip.

Head to Fire Island for the West Islip Breast Cancer Coalition's 19th Annual Clam Shucking Contest. The fundraiser takes place Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Surf's Out Restaurant in Kismet. Get all the details here.

During the event, you can also take part in a charity beach volleyball competition.

Registration for TADA twirling and dance classes will take place at West Islip Public Library on Tuesday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. 

Stop by West Islip Wines and Liquors on Friday at 4 p.m. for a free tasting of Fireball Whiskey and Eagle Rare.

Spend Saturday at the 4th Annual Art Show at Sagtikos Manor. View artwork created in different mediums; watercolor, oil and acrylics, sculptures, ceramics, photographs and more by local artists on the Manor’s Great Lawn.
