There is nothing wrong with the Common Core curriculum which does, in fact, prepare strudents forRead More their academic careers. It sets high, but realistic goals for students and teachers alike. The new curriculum prepares elementary students for middle school, middle school students for high school and high school students for college. It concentrates on skills that all students need to succeed. That said, the standarized tests are not developmentally appropriate as the reading level is too high and the length, too long.
