Temperatures have soared this week across the South Shore, sending locals to seek relief at beaches and pools.
West Islip Beach was crowded during our visit Wednesday with residents looking to cool down. We spotted a few kids taking a dip in the Great South Bay as boats and a catamaran bobbed in the background.
