Donations Pour In For Women of West Islip Food Drive
Despite rain, the organization collected plenty of food to donate to local families.
A little rain didn't stop the Women of West Islip Food Drive on Saturday, as volunteers braved the wet weather to collect donations for local families.
In total, enough food items were collected to fill up a large truck.
"The Women of West Islip thank the community for their support," Co-Founder Patty Vorilas told Patch in an email following the drive.
Vorilas said the food will be disbursed to food pantries in West Islip on Monday.
