Today, the West Islip girls lacrosse team beat Riverhead 15-5. Lena Riportella led the way finishing the game with 3 goals and 1 assist.
Once again, it was a great group effort on offense. Erin Byrnes and Grace Davidson contributed 2 goals each. Lindsay Darrell, Kerry Huber, Marissa Castellano, Lorraine Hodgson, Kelsey Allen, Vanessa Costantino, Cara Douglas and Riley Hill added a goal apiece.
Goalie Shannon McFadden kept Riverhead at bay by having 4 saves.
The Lady Lions play next on Monday against East Islip.
