The West Islip High School girls lacrosse team will look to build off another successful season in 2012 with several games against familiar opponents this season.
The spring campaign starts with a non-league contest against Massapequa on Friday, March 22, at home. The team’s league schedule will begin five days later against Walt Whitman, also at home.
In 2012, the team made it to the county semi-finals before losing to Bay Shore 19-10. During its playoff run, West Islip beat William Floyd 9-8 at home and then defeated perennial powerhouse West Babylon 17-11 on the road.
