Craig Reflects On Challenging Season

West Islip varsity head coach talks about 2013 campaign and the program going forward.

For nearly a decade, West Islip has dominated the high school lacrosse scene in Suffolk County, winning nine straight Class A County titles and five New York State Championships.

But 2013 was an off year for the Lions. The team's stranglehold on the Suffolk County title came to an end May 21 in 12-4 loss to Smithtown East in the county quarterfinals.

In an interview with West Islip Patch, head coach Scott Craig talked about the challenges his team faced this past season, and what the future looks like for a program that has gained national recognition.
