There's a quiet, out-of-the-house, spot for those in West Islip who love Monday Nigh football but maybe don't like the bar environment or even the basement environment.
The West Islip Library is turning on its big screen in the community room two nights in October for Monday Night Football fans.
The first televised game, the Jets vs. Falcons, will be on the tube starting at 8:30 p.m. on October 7. The second game televised will be October 21 when the Giants take on the Vikings at 8:30 p.m.
The library's even staying open later than usual to accommodate the football fans and snacks and drinks will be served through the evening.
