All schools in the West Islip School District will remain closed Friday following widespread power outages four days after Hurricane Sandy swept through the area.
A call to parents throughout the district said the closures are due to the fact that three district buildings are still wihtout power as of mid-day Thursday.
SATs, which were scheduled to take place Saturday, have been postponed as well.
