UPDATE: School Programs, Activities Canceled Due to Blizzard

Driver education, Udall Valentine's Day class are postponed due to snow.

Update 2 p.m.: All Friday evening and Saturday activities for the West Islip School District are canceled. The 4 p.m. late buses will run this afternoon, but 5 p.m. late buses are canceled. 

Earlier: Though the snow has just begun to fall, but the Nor'Easter headed for Long Island is already causing cancellations throughout West Islip Schools.

Friday's Valentine's Day Dance at Udall Middle School has been postponed. It has been rescheduled for Friday, March 8.

The Manetuck PTA Variety Show set for Friday has been rescheduled for Monday, Feb. 11 at 7 p.m.

Driver's Education classes for Friday and Saturday have been canceled. A decision regarding Sunday classes will be made by 8 a.m. Sunday, and students will be notified via telephone, according to the district's website.

The Enrichment Program scheduled for Saturday has also been cancelled. The first class will take place on Feb. 23 and th program will run through March 23.

The Elementary Instructional Swim Program on Saturday has also been canceled. There will be no make-up and Session 3 registration will take place Saturday, March 2 from 9 a.m. to noon at West Islip High School.

St. John The Baptist High School has canceled all afternoon and evening activities for Friday.

At Our Lady of Lourdes, the Father Daughter Dance scheduled for Friday night has been postponed. It will take place on Friday, March 8.
