Former WIHS LAX Star Nobile Enjoying Time At Marquette

Following transfer from Hofstra, defenseman takes leadership role for the Golden Eagles.

West Islip High School graduate Jerry Nobile is proving to be a leader on Marquette University’s up-and-coming men’s lacrosse team.

Recently The Marquette Tribune spoke with the former West Islip lacrosse star about his transfer to Marquette from Hofstra University.

Nobile’s shift to the Milwaukee-based school was a difficult one for him as he moved away from his parents, both of whom are hearing impaired.

“It was hard to let go of that and have the strength to come to Marquette,” Nobile told The Marquette Tribune. “All in all I’m happy, and my parents are proud of me.”
