BOE Race: Ulrich Seeks Second Term, Bieselin Will Not Seek Re-election

Glenn Sloat, Ron Maginniss go head-to-head to fill seat currently held by long-time trustee Sharon Bieselin.

The West Islip Board of Education election season is underway with two challengers set to compete for one open seat.

Glenn Sloat and Ron Maginniss will be running against each other for the seat of Sharon Bieselin.  Sloat, who ran for Eliot Bloom's seat last May, was beat out by current trustee Scott Brady by a vote of 1,550 to 642.

According to Steve Gellar, president of the board, Robert Ulrich will be running for his seat unopposed.
