The Town of Islip Planning Board will discuss concerns over parking for a West Islip medical building at Thursday's board meeting.
The owner of the Vitagliano Orthodontics, at 150 Higbie Lane, is expected to address the board in response to resident complaints that visitors are parking on nearby Hawley Avenue, violating an agreement between Developer Joseph Vitagliano and the board, according to Newsday.
The property holds a 29-spot parking lot, and Newsday reports Vitagliano agreed to restrict parking on nearby streets as a condition of the board’s approval of the project.
“We’re taking them back in to see if we can help them solve the problem,” Genaway told Newsday.
The meeting is set for 7:30 p.m. at Islip Town Hall, 655 Main Street.
