WI Man Gets 60 Days in Prison for 'Kegs & Eggs' Melee

Patrick Fries will serve 60 days in county jail and three-years probation for his part in Albany riot.

A West Islip man will be sentenced to prison in June for his part in the University of Albany "Kegs & Eggs" rioting that took place on March 12, the Times Union said.

According to the Times Union, Patrick Fries, 21, pleaded guilty to fourth degree criminal mischief for damaging cars at City Court in Albany on Thursday.  He will serve 60 days in county prison, three years probation and will have to pay restitution. 

The Times Union reported that prosecutors said Fries--who was visiting friends that weekend-- can be seen in a video taken by students kicking and denting a 2003 Ford Crown Victoria.

District Attorney David Soares said the "lawlessness" that happened the morning of the melee cost the city of Albany more than $20,000 in damages, the Times Union said.   Fries will be sentenced June 16.
