West Islip FD Assists In Battling N. Babylon House Fire
Wednesday morning fire destroys home near North Babylon High School.
The West Islip Fire Department was on scene of a Wednesday morning fire that destroyed a North Babylon home.
The North Babylon Fire Department arrived at the home located at the corner of Pacific Street and Phelps Lane near North Babylon High School just after 9 a.m. The NBFD was assisted by several fire departments including West Islip, Deer Park, Babylon and West Babylon.
The fire was declared under control around 10:20 a.m.
One North Babylon firefighter was transported to the hospital with minor burns, according to an EMS worker on the scene. No one in the home at the time was injured.
No word on what caused the blaze.
