West Islip FD Aids in Battling Brightwaters Blaze

The West Islip Fire Department helped battle a blaze early Thursday morning at the Jon Thomas Inne in Brightwaters.
The cause of the fire at the longtime eatery is under investigation, according to a Newsday report, which states that one person was treated for smoke inhalation and that the fire caused the evacuation of four residents living above the restaurant.
A historic restaurant on Suffolk County's South Shore was damaged in a fire early Thursday that saw one person treated for minor smoke inhalation injuries, county police and fire officials said.
