ORIGINAL: The body of an apparent hit-and-run victim was discovered on a street in West Islip early Monday morning, according to Suffolk County police.
The victim, an adult man, was found on Sandra Avenue just after midnight, a police spokeswoman said.
No further details were available Monday morning. The investigation is continuing, she said.
