Police Blotter: DWIs Highlight Area's Crime Report
Arrests reported by the Third Precinct of the SCPD between July 2- July 9.
The following information is taken directly from the Suffolk County Police Department's Media Incidents list. None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed below.
- On July 7, Brian Hite, of Islip, was arrested in West Islip for DWI. It was his first offense.
- On July 3, Nicholas Trovoto, of Deer Park, was arrested in West Islip for DWI. He has a previous conviction in the past 10 years.
- On July 2, Sebahitti Akkaya, of Garden City, was arrested in West Islip for false statistics/altering the mileage of a vehicle.
