Three Charged in Hicksville Gunpoint Robbery

Nassau Police arrested three people for a robbery that took place in Hicksville on Monday at 6:34 p.m.

Detectives say a 21-year-old man was talking with Alex Mercado-Silva, Jarrell Smith, Teresa Montagnino, at the rear parking lot of 20 West Village Green, when Mercado-Silva waved a gun at the victim, and demanded his Air Jordan sneakers. Smith demanded a cell phone and and the cash in his pockets, and the victim handed it over, according to police.

Police: Man Steals Car, Crashes It Into Patchogue Store

Police say a man driving a car he had just stolen crashed through a Patchogue storefront Tuesday afternoon as police were attempting to pull him over. 

The car crashed fully through Avenue Sound, located at 260 E. Main Street, around 2:47 p.m, police said. A woman inside the store suffered minor injuries and refused medical attention at the scene, police said. 

Police said the driver, Michael Nash, of Patchogue, stole the 2008 Honda from outside Jiffy Lube, located at 452 Medford Avenue. The keys were in the car's ignition when it was stolen, police said.

Cops Investigating ATM Skimmer at Plainview Bank

Nassau Police are seeking the public's help in investigating a forgery that occurred in Plainview on Sunday, March 9, at 3:30 p.m.

Detectives say a 32-year-old ATM repairman while doing routine repairs at TD Bank located at 500 Old Country Road discovered a skimming device.  A second device was later located on exterior card entrance.  Detectives further discovered that numerous people's accounts were compromised.

Police: Owner of Investment Firm Bilked Over $100K From Suffolk Couple

The owner of a New York City investment securities firm was arrested on Thursday and charged with stealing more than $100,000 from a Suffolk County couple, police said. 

Ronald Feldstein, the owner of Trademore Capital, located at 425 East 58th St., received $117,500 in checks and cash, both personally and to his business, from the couple between August and October 2009, police said. 

Cops Charge Man in South Shore Robbery Spree

A 19-year-old has been charged in connection with several convenience store holdups since January, confirmed Nassau County Police.

Cops charged Keith Estrada, 19, of Roosevelt, with five counts of first-degree robbery and five counts of second-degree robbery. He was arraigned Wednesday.

Detectives said Estrada was involved in five robberies across the South Shore area, four of which were reportedly armed robberies.
