Crimes Nearby: Babylon Man Charged With Hit and Run, DWI

Arrests reported by precincts surrounding West Islip between April 16 - April 22.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department.  A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Babylon

According to Riverhead Town police, Timothy Corcoran of Babylon was on Friday night and hit a teenaged bicyclist from Flanders. Corcoran was later arrested at a nearby McDonald's by New York State Police and charged with driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident.

The teenager was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

West Babylon

Two West Babylon men were Monday afternoon, police said.

According to police, John Mitchell and Nicholas Mitchell along with Allen Mitchell of Bay Shore are each charged with Grand Larceny 4th Degree, a Class E felony.

Deer Park

A woman told police that a while she was at an ATM early Sunday morning at a CVS in Deer Park.

Suffolk County Police received a 911 call around 1:30 a.m. from a woman who said she had been forced to take out money from the banking machine at a CVS, located at 1944 Deer Park Avenue in Deer Park, and give it to an unknown male. The man told her that he had a gun, she told police.
