Community Rallies for West Islip Family Stricken by Fire
Drop-off points set up for residents who want to donate to family whose home was lost in a fire.
Community members have set up donation drop-off points to raise money for a West Islip family after a Monday afternoon.
The Gustavson family, who own the house, were not injured, but the damage the fire caused to their home has been devastating. The family has two daughters, ages 7 and 13, who attend Oquenock and Udall Road schools.
Donations of cash and gift cards to supermarkets, clothing stores and department stores are currently being collected for the family.
