Bay Shore, Lindenhurst Men Charged in ID, Credit Card Theft Ring

Criminal activity run under the guise of a car sales operation, according to district attorney.

A Bay Shore man and a Lindenhurst resident are two of three people involved in what Suffolk Police describe as an expansive credit card and identity theft ring run under the guise of a car sales operation.

Jason Gonzalez, 23, of Lindenhurst  is charged with 13 counts of Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the Second Degree, six counts of Unlawful Possession of Personal Identifying Information in the Third Degree and five counts of Criminal Possession of a Forgery Device.

Jose Lopez, 29, of Bay Shore, is charged with nine counts of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Third Degree along with eight other charges relating to the crime.
