Mid-day temperatures hit the century mark, at least according to the high school's electronic message board.
The heat impacting West Islip continues on Wednesday and the sign outside the high school showed that temperatures have hit the magic 100 degree mark. While the triple-digit reading may not be official, it is indicative of something all local residents know...it's hot!
