West Islip resident Matthew Gebbia of Troop 95 was recently awarded the Boy Scout's highest rank of Eagle Scout.
Troop 95 is chartered by the Church of Christ in West Islip.
Gebbia earned accolades on his achievement from several local officials, including Islip town Councilman Steve Flotteron and Legislator Thomas Barraga.
