The Best Don’t Always Win

Drew Brees calmly guided his team to their first ever playoff victory on the road.  Colin Kaepernick dashed across the frozen tundra like a reindeer rushing through the Arctic air.  Andrew Luck did not quit until he had lifted his teammates to an unlikely come from behind victory.  These were the obvious stars of the Wild Card weekend.

Smith threw four touchdown passes while completed 65% of his passes for 348 yards and no interceptions.  He also added another 57 yards on the ground.   His QB rating of 119.7 was the highest of all eight quarterbacks in action throughout the weekend.  The 44 point he generated on offense was seventeen more than the Chiefs season  average.  His only slip up was a lost fumble after being hit and sacked from behind.  And he did all this without the service his top two running backs, each injured early in the game.
