Be Part of 'Ready, Set, Wear It!' Life Jacket World Record Day at Heckscher State Park!

On Saturday, May 18, 2013. This event is from 11:00 AM -3:00
PM at Heckscher State Park in East Islip. The 'Ready, Set, Wear It!' will be
held at 1:00 PM. Participants in cities around the globe will gather to set a
world record for the most life jackets worn and inflatable life jackets
inflated on the fourth annual "Ready, Set, Wear It!" Life Jacket
World Record Day [http://www.readysetwearit.com/]. The goal is not only to
promote the comfortable and versatile options when it comes to life jackets,
but also to educate the public about life jackets and safe boating in general. Last
year, 3,993 people gathered at more than 145 events worldwide.

Throughout the day the US Coast Guard Auxiliary will be conducting
boat safety and towing demonstrations. Free Vessel Safety Checks will also be
available. With Memorial Day Weekend around the corner, this event is a great
opportunity to inspect your life jacket and get a refresher on boating safety.
