P.S. I Love You Founder Brooke DiPalma Picked as West Islip Patch's Greatest Person of 2012

Readers choose DiPalma for her dedication to bullying awareness and suicide prevention.

Patch readers have spoken, and West Islip student and P.S. I Love You Founder Brooke DiPalma was named West Islip Patch's Person of the Year for 2012.

In just a year, DiPalma has transformed from a West Islip High School sophomore to bullying and suicide prevention activist.

Following the death of her father in 2010, DiPalma created a YouTube video expressing a simple message to those suffering from depression: You are not alone. Within days, the clip went viral.
