Meet The Candidates Running for West Islip School Board on Monday
School Board candidates will participate in an open forum at Udall Road Middle School at 8 p.m. on May 13.
As Election Day nears, West Islip's Board of Education candidates will meet in a public forum on Monday to introduce themselves and discuss hot topics in the community.
The meeting, which is sponsored by the West Islip Council of PTA, will take place at Udall Middle School at 8 p.m.
Kevin O’Connor and Marcelle Crudele are challenging each other for the seat being vacated by longtime trustee George Smith.
Incumbents AnnMarie LaRosa and Scott Brady are running unopposed.
Index cards will be handed out to audience members at the beginning of the night for those who wish to submit questions to the candidates. All residents are encouraged to attend.
The trustee election and budget vote are slated for Tuesday, May 21 from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
