Meal Donations For Labetti Family Extended

Dinners for the West Islip family who lost their teen son needed through October.

A meal donation service set up for the Labetti family, who recently lost their 15-year-old son Thomas two weeks after he was struck by an SUV while riding his bicycle in West Islip on Sept. 11, has been extended through the month of October.

The meal chain, originally created by family friends following the accident, is organized through CareCalendar.org. Community members can register to cook or pick up dinner and drop it off at the Labetti family home on a designated night.

Meals should be dropped off between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. and feed six people.
