Good Samaritan Hospital Preps for Storm

Hospital activates weather emergency Friday afternoon.

Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center has activated a weather emergency to ensure that safe patient care will continue throughout the storm, according to a statement released by the hospital Friday afternoon.

Staffing at the hospital on Friday and Saturday will be as scheduled. In anticipation of hazardous travelling conditions during the height of the blizzard, sleeping and meal accommodations will be available for staff who elect to remain at the hospital overnight, according to the statement.

Good Samaritan’s outpatient Dialysis Centers in Lindenhurst and Bay Shore will be closed on Saturday. All patients scheduled for treatments on Saturday will be seen instead on Sunday when the centers reopen. Outpatient imaging centers will be closed on Saturday and will reopen on Sunday. Outpatient physical therapy appointments have been cancelled for Saturday.
