West Islip Couple Seeks to Recoup Deposit From Shuttered Wedding Venue

Locals among several who seek restitution from The WaterView Club in Bayville.

A West Islip couple is among several people who filed complaints with the Nassau County District Attorney's office after they attempted to recoup payments to their now shuttered wedding venue.

According to a Newsday article [paid link], The WaterView Club in Bayville booked about 25 events for coming months before it was booted by its landlord.

Newsday reported:

Diana Krass, 28, of West Islip, had beach-themed decorations made for her June 15 nuptials at WaterView. The theme may not work as well in the Mineola event hall she and her fiance booked at the last minute, Krass said.
