Blink Fitness to Open in West Islip

Fitness chain has leased a 15,000-square-foot space in South Bay Commons Shopping Center.

West Islip residents looking to get into shape will soon have a new option, as Blink Fitness is slated to open a location on Sunrise Highway.

The company has leased a 15,000-square-foot space in the South Bay Commons Shopping Center, near and Hyundai. This will be Blink's second Long Island location; their Melville studio opened in March.

The space previously housed Excel Rehabilitation and Sports Therapy, which in March.

Blink Fitness facilities offer cardio and strength equipement, as well as personal and group training sessions and Blink Boot Camp.

Construction on the property has begun, and the fitness center is expected to open in about a month, according to a public relations rep for Sabre Real Estate Group, who brokered the deal.
