George Washington Display at WI Public Library

An exhibit of President George Washington's 1790 Tour of Long Island is on display in the West Islip Children's Library. He spent the night at the Sagtikos Manor on April 21. On display is a miniature version of the room he slept in. Docents, in period dress, from the Sagtikos Manor Historical Society will be at the library on Monday, 21 from 12-5 to answer questions on his stay and they will explain the history of the Sagtikos Manor. Also on exhibit is the "Culper Spy Ring" which precedes the lecture being held at the library, May 24@7:00. The exhibit will be on display for the month of February.
