WIBCC's Pink Flags of October Opening Set For Sunday

For the second consecutive year, the breast cancer coalition will put hundreds of flags on display.

The West Islip Breast Cancer Coalition will display their annual Pink Flags of October on Sunday at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center.

Hundreds of flags, many bearing the name of those affected by breast cancer, will line the front lawn of the hospital. The opening ceremony begins at 3 p.m.

The flags will fly throughout the month of October to honor Breast Cacner Awareness Month. Last year's inaugural display featured 400 of the pink flags.
