Wednesday's Events: Halloween Craft at the Library

Local events happening on October 10.

Kids in grades 7 through 12 are invited to the West Islip Public Library at 7 p.m. to create an edible spooky house for Halloween.

Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center hosts its bi-weekly Breast Cancer Support Group starting at 7 p.m. tonight.

The West Islip Public Library is holding an ongoing Halloween costume drive for new and gently used costumes to donate to children in need. The costumes will be distributed through several Long Island organizations before Halloween. You can drop off your donation through Friday, Oct. 19.

Throughout the month of October, you can view the Pink Flags of October display on the front lawn of Good Samaritan Hospital. Hundreds of flags were placed there Sunday by the West Islip Breast Cancer Coalition in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
