Despite a Nor'easter coming, the West Islip community will be a sea of purple Friday, as the community celebrates the second annual P.S. I Love You Day.
Hundreds of students, faculty and business leaders throughout West Islip and across the country will show their support for the cause aimed at helping those suffering from depression.
Founded by West Islip sophomore Brooke DiPalma in 2012, P.S. I Love You Day is an extension of the campaign of kindness created in memory of DiPalma's father Joseph, to suicide. The movement has grown to support individuals suffering from depression, suicidal thoughts, and bullying.
Are you wearing purple on Friday? Upload photos of you, your friends, family and staff celebrating P.S. I Love You Day and share them with the community. We'll feature them in an upcoming post on the site.
