P.S. I Love You Day in West Islip: Share Your Photos

Members of the community will be dressed in purple Friday to show their support for the fight against depression and suicide.

Despite a Nor'easter coming, the West Islip community will be a sea of purple Friday, as the community celebrates the second annual P.S. I Love You Day.

Hundreds of students, faculty and business leaders throughout West Islip and across the country will show their support for the cause aimed at helping those suffering from depression.

Founded by West Islip sophomore Brooke DiPalma in 2012, P.S. I Love You Day is an extension of the campaign of kindness created in memory of DiPalma's father Joseph, to suicide. The movement has grown to support individuals suffering from depression, suicidal thoughts, and bullying.
