National Garage Sale Day a Hit in West Islip
Locals cleaned out their attics and closets in hopes to make some a fast cash
Families hung signs, propped up tables and cleaned out their closets in preparation for National Garage Sale Day.
While some planned ahead for the biggest yard sale day of the year, others were inspired to have a sale from performing their ritual house cleanings.
"We decided to have a sale very last minute," said Debrah Giana, of West Islip. Giana and her family made the call to host their own garage sale while tidying up the attic.
