Clothing Drives At Library Set For Saturday

Coats and items for newborns will be collected.

Two previously scheduled clothing drives will go on as scheduled this weekend at the West Islip Public Library.

The Third Annual “One Warm Coat” drive will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Items in need include coats, jackets, mittens, gloves, hats and scarves.

Also the First Annual “Newborns in Need” Baby Drive will also run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the library. Items ranging from gently used furniture and clothing to unopened packs of diapers and formula will be accepted.

In addition, the library is open and fully powered and providing a place where folks can recharge their personal electronic devices, watch television and spend some time with family and friends. WiFi is also available.
