Islip Town Board Lies and ignores taxpayers.

This is an email mail received from one of the Islip Town Councilmembers about 5 months ago. I am shocked that the same person who wrote this email voted to develop an area in Holbrook that was opposed by civic associations, chamber of commerces and thousands of residents in Sayville, Holbrook and Bayport. What changed his mind?

" Dear Mr. and Mrs........,

I have reviewed your email in regards to the Islip Pines Project. This has been a project that I have been monitoring since I have taken office. I am a supporter of small businesses in our downtowns. I also believe in the right of a businessman to develop his property. However, I am not in support of this project. This project is too aggressive of a development. What upsets me the most about this project is the negative impact it would have on traffic in the area; an area that is already congested. I appreciate your views on this matter and hope that you continue your campaign in opposition to this project.

Regards, John C. Cochrane Jr. Councilman
