BOE, School Safety Meetings & the Magic of Spices

Today, Sept. 24, is the third day of fall and also National Voter Registration Day for those who haven't registered.

On a more local front, West Islip's Homecoming festivities are underway in the high school with the big game happening this Saturday so mark the calendar.

Today there are two school district meetings residents may be interested in attending as well as an educational cooking workshop at the library.

Evelyn Banker is a master chef, food writer and cooking teacher. Her specialty is the use of spices, herbs and grains in quick, easy, fresh and delicious meals that anyone can prepare.
