Letter: Important Athletic Budget Presentation

Meeting will discuss the potential cuts of JV and middle school sports programs.

Dear Parents, Boosters and Supporters of West Islip Athletics,

As you know, the West Islip School District, like many others, is struggling to finalize its 2012-2013 school budget.

Currently, the district has identified middle school and JV athletics as programs that could possibly be CUT! On Thursday, March 22, at 7:30 p.m. in the Beach Street Middle School cafeteria, Athletic Director Tim Horan will present an overview of the 2012-2013 interscholastic athletic budget.  We strongly encourage you to attend this very important presentation and show your support of West Islip student athletes as the district considers cutting middle school and JV sports programs.
