Good Sam Golf Classic Raises $220K

The 16th Annual Good Samaritan Golf Classic was held recently at Southward Ho Country Club in Bay Shore.

More than 190 guests participated in the fundraiser, which garnered $220,000 to benefit the hospital's Cancer Center.

Ralph Lambert, chairman and owner of Axis Construction, was this year's honoree. Danny O'Donnell, owner of Tre Palms on Babylon, served as chairman for the event.

Astoria Federal Savings sponsored the classic for the 16th consecutive year.

“We are grateful to all of our corporate sponsors and individuals who worked together to make the Golf Classic such a tremendous success,” said Good Samaritan Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer Nancy Simmons.
