West Babylon Pizzeria Owner Charged with Selling Illegal Prescription Drugs A West Babylon pizzeria owner was arrested on Tuesday and charged with selling illegal prescription pills out of his restaurant, Suffolk County Police said. Francesco Miceli, 50, of Rockville Center and owner of Miceli Brothers Pizzeria and Restaurant, is charged by police with seven counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, a Class B Felony; one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, a class B Felony; and one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th Degree, a class C Felony. Fire Breaks Out At West Islip Car Wash

Blaze contained to the machine room, but smoke damage reported throughout the building.

A small fire that broke out at West Islip Car Wash Monday evening was quickly contained and damage to the building was minimized. The fire at the business located on Sunrise Highway just east of the Higbie Lane overpass broke out at around 5:30 p.m. and started in the building’s machine room, said Scott Harvey, chief with the West Islip Fire Department. He reported that firefighters were able to contain the blaze to the machine room, but added that early reports indicated smoke damage throughout the building. Harvey said there were no injuries to firefighters or car wash personnel as the business was closed for the evening. Ex-Yankee faces four counts of child molestation Ex-Yankee Rosendo "Rusty" Torres made incriminating statements to police that led to felony charges of child molestation, court documents and police said. The former major leaguer and current youth baseball coach employed full time by the Town of Oyster Bay said he was sorry for incidents and stopped himself before further damage was done to his victim, court documents show. Torres was charged Tuesday in connection with two separate incidents of sex abuse involving an 8-year-old girl that occurred in Plainview. Have you experienced out-of-control behavior on the Babylon line on late-night weekend trains?

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) recently announced that they are starting a pilot program that will ban the consumption of alcohol on overnight weekend trains on the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) out of Penn Station. The ban is an attempt to curb what has been referred to as "rambunctious behavior" by the MTA. The affected trains – commonly known as "drunk trains" – are those that run between midnight and 5 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. The ban begins May 14. "There is rambunctious behavior on these weekend overnight trains, and this is an effort to curb that and set a better tone on those trains," MTA spokesman Sam Zambuto told The Daily News. West Babylon A Lindenhurst man Suffolk Police linked to several area bank robberies last April has now been found guilty, according to the office of Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota. Steven A. Sebastopoli was arrested last year after allegedly robbing banks in Lindenhurst, West Babylon and Copiague, and was apprehended following the robbery of the TD Bank at 701 Montauk Highway in West Babylon, police said.
