The Christina Renna Foundation will be hold its seventh annual Walk-A-Thon and Blood Drive on Sunday. The event's proceeds will benefit the Children's Cancer Research Center at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. The walk and blood drive are part of the family’s yearly event schedule, which also includes a golf outing, fishing outing and gala. The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be held on Sunday. Belmont Lake State Park is the scene of one of more than 600 walks taking place nationwide. Come out for a family fun day, and 5k and Kid's Run benefiting the Foundation for Prader-Willi Research on Saturday at 9 a.m. at Tanner Park. Enjoy refreshments, a DJ, post race yoga cool down, face painting, balloon animals, carnival games, raffles including a trip, iPad, and much much. More than 35 local restaurants and wineries will be providing samples of their menus and libations under a big tent at the the beautiful LI Yacht Club on the bay starting at 3 p.m. Sunday.
