It seems like school just started, but tomorrow is the first of October already. To help West Islip readers keep up on events and programs in such hectic times, here’s a guide to what’s ahead this week.

West Islip Library Gallery Hall ExhibitEmily and JoAnn Kellner will display photographs taken during their travels in China, Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands, etc.

Afterschool Programs for Youth (Mon. - Fri)2:30pm - 5:30pm
Youth Enrichment Services and the South Shore Community Organization provide daily after school programs and homework assistance during the school year at various schools throughout the Town, Monday through Friday, 2:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. on school days. Programs begin between 9/23/13 and 9/30/13, depending on the program site. (Participants must pre-register)
