The official countdown to Halloween is on, with 10 days to go, and to help make sure you don’t miss any fun and important meetings Patch offers up this week’s agenda.

Weather Outlook

The week’s weather is looking good. No rain expected at start of the week, though a 20 percent chance of showers comes into play by Wednesday. Temps expected to stay in low to mid 60s and partly cloudy throughout the week.

The Helping Hands organization in West Islip will be accepting new and gently used Halloween costumes and back to school clothes for the needy in the first half of the week. Drop off is at the West Islip Fire House on Union Boulevard and deadline is 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.
