The Women of West Islip are Sunday to benefit local food pantries.
Non-perishable food items will be collected at on Sunday from 9 a.m. to noon. If residents don't have time to shop that day, they can give a monetary donation and have one of the members shop on your behalf.
Food pantry organizers said that summer is a critical time to keep pantries full, as kids are off from school and home all day.
