Through The Lens: Kenny's Krew Fundraiser

Friday's event helped support Kenny Kodak, who's suffering from Medulloblastoma.

A fundraiser was held at the on Friday afternoon for Kenny's Krew, a fund set up to support Kenny Kodak, a 12-year-old boy suffering from Medulloblastoma.

Hundreds of West Islip residents and friends of the Kodak family filled the room with love and support.  There were a variety of activities taking place at the fundraiser, including an area where boys shaved their heads for the summer to support Kenny.  Girls also had an opportunity to get hair extensions as well.

Other activities included face painting, tattoos, food, raffles and a DJ for entertainment.  Tickets were sold at the door for the raffle, which could've won one of the donated prizes that lined up and down the firehouse walls.
