Thanksgiving Food Drive Set for Wednesday

Helping Hands will host drive on Weds, Nov. 16 until 9:30 a.m.

. is set for their second seasonal food drive with their Thanksgiving holiday drive, which will be held Wednesday morning.

Residents can donate a variety of items at American Legion Post 1738 up until 9:30 a.m. The early time gives Helping Hands a chance for same day delivery to local charities.

"We are in desperate need for Thanksgiving donations," said Jen Gallozzi, founder of Helping Hands.  "Since Helping Hands services folks year round, some of you may opt out of the holiday  giving and instead choose to give to your local church, school or place of employment. Still, helping hands families are still at the mercy of our generosity."
