Scout Project Benefits Patients in Good Samaritan's Pediatric Unit

Special 'time box' will help other teenagers during hospital stay.

Following a hospital stay last year, 12- year- old Girl Scout Sarah Logan, Troop 75 in Babylon Village, developed the “Time Box” to help other “tweens” pass the time while in the hospital.

Her idea earned her Girl Scout’s Silver Award. In addition to researching toy manufacturers for mind challenging toys, Sarah also handmade items and collected donations from family and friends, creating four Time Boxes customized for 10-15 year-olds in Good Samaritan Hospital’s Pediatric Unit.
